Eva Emo Obituary
Eva was the top of the tops, known for her love of raising a glass of red wine while entertaining family and friends. Born in Verdun and raised in the Montreal area, she later made Oakville her home with Robert in the 1990s.
Eva was a dedicated wife and mother, navigating a remarkable journey that included earning a BSc in Mathematics through evening college courses, complemented by studies in computer technology. Her career path led her to Domtar Fine Papers before returning to her true passion: teaching mathematics in Oakville, Ontario.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Emo, her parents Anna Ethel Brennan and Francis Taugher, her brothers Patrick (Doris) and Frank and sisters Maureen (Robert), Caryl, Norma, Phyllis and brother-in-law Robert Wilson. Eva is survived by her sister Margaret, brother-in-law Hanspeter Portmann, sister-in-law Pauline and her loving children: James (Linda), Gary, Steve (Genna), and Kathy Morey (Phil). She was a cherished grandmother to Leigh (Adam), Declan, Peyton, Griffin, Tommy, Tara, Svetlana, and Steidlher (Stephanie Andal), and a beloved great-grandmother to Adleigh, Liam, and Scarlett.
A combined memorial service for Robert and Eva Emo will be held on Saturday July 6th, 2024, 10:30am at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Parish, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville, ONT
Reception to follow service
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested, in honor of Eva Emo, to the Canadian Alzheimer's Association, https://alzheimer.ca/en

Kathy, Phil, Peyton, Declan and Grif, we are thinking of you today as you celebrate the lives of your dear parents and grandparents. The love shared among you will be there in the lovely wood that Bob shaped for you and the lightly stained pie recipes that Eva left for with you to share. Their hands, hearts and hopes remain forever in these treasurers.

Eva was always so welcoming to Ken and I whenever we would see her and Bob. I´m so very sorry to hear of her passing, yet feel some sense of comfort that she and Bob will now be reunited for eternity. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May she rest in peace.
