I met Eva at Los Soleras when I started working in the kitchen. She was such a joy to be around, she always made me laugh. She had many stories to tell, and I loved every one of them. I would ask her questions, and she would always studder so that I wouldn't understand what she said. I thought that was so funny. Then I would ask the same question on another day, and I got the same answer. I am going to miss that lady in the dining room. Once we saw her, we knew that she wanted an ice-cold coke to get her through that moment. She loved eating breakfast for dinner and even lunch. She loved to joke with us and make us laugh when she would see us sitting down taking a break. Rest in Peace my friend. I know you had a beautiful journey home and will see you again.

I became acquainted with Eva just one year ago. Her name showed up on our records at church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in Santa Fe. A young friend 20 years old and I would go visit with Eva. She always was so kind to me young friend Skye. Eva ask me to come back but only if I had Skye with me. Eva was so kind to us and definitely made us laugh. She shared pictures of her husband and family with us. We loved that she was a former Marine! She brought joy to our lives. We just went to visit her today unaware of her passing last month. So grateful to have known her. She blessed our lives!
