Evan Galloway Landry, 32, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012. He was born on February 8, 1980 in Metairie, Louisiana. He was a long time resident of Los Angeles, California but had recently returned home to Metairie, Louisiana. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Dr. Ronald Andrew Landry and Casey Landry, two loving sisters, Katherine Landry and Tracy Giacone(Brad), two nephews, Blake Giacone and Peyton Giacone, one niece, Megan Giacone, and numerous relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Galloway Landry, his maternal grandparents, William Galloway and Doris Bickham Galloway, his paternal grandparents, Percy Landry and Dorothy Casanova Landry and his paternal uncle, Dr. Robert Landry. Evan graduated from De la Salle High School in New Orleans in 1998. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the K-9 Unit of the Military Police. Following this, he toured the world training and learning the skills of martial arts which he used professionally as an ultimate fighter. He was most recently pursuing a career in the horse racing industry with his longtime friend, Ron Faucheux. He had a kind heart and a quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 at 2pm. Visitation begins at 12 noon.
