Evan Olson, beloved husband of Sherry Olson, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the age of 61 years. Evan had a passion for life and was always happiest surrounded by family and friends. He had a love for music and classic cars and believed in hard work and loyalty. He was a man of integrity and strength, and was well respected and loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by many. Besides his loving wife Sherry of thirty- two years, Evan is survived by his two daughters, Nichole (Chris) Tobin and Sarah (Jesse) Szilveszter; and his two grandchildren, Layla and Evan Tobin. He is also survived by his siblings, Elaine Hanna, Julie Ordog, Trish Olson, Murray (Shirley) Olson, Adrienne Wendt (Brad) and Cheryl (Larry) Harper and numerous nieces and nephews. Evan was predeceased by his father Earl Olson; his brother-in-law Francis Ordog; and his mother and step-father Anita and Claude Treinen. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Evan's Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. I am so very saddened to hear of Evan's passing. He was, without a doubt, one of the kindest souls I have ever met. He was passionate about his work and helped us so many times in our renovations or building projects. He always had a kind word for everyone and his smile was enchanting. He will be missed but God has a wonderful soul with him in heaven. My deepest sympathies to your family but may the memories of Evan help you through this difficult time.

I'm very saddened to find out about Evan's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him as builder/supplier. I could always count on Evan to get things done and he always went that extra mile to make sure things were done and looked great. He was always pleasant on the phone and in person. I will always remember his great work ethic and friendly personality, I'm sure he will be missed by everyone who he interacted with.
