Evelene Davis Keeter

Evelene Davis Keeter, 88, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2018 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. She was born on June 29, 1929, in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Plato and Docia Parker Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Colon Lee Keeter. Evelene is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Keeter of the home; her grandson, Dusty Carpenter and wife Tricia; and her great-grandson, Cole Carpenter. Evelene was a charter member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church which was established in 1956. Before that, the first congregation met at Docia and Plato Davis' home until the church was built. Evelene was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. Her memorial service will be on Monday June 4, 2018 at 11:30 am at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, with Rev. Greg Neely officiating. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.
