Evelyn Anne Ryan, 92, of Silverdale, passed away on Dec. 16, 2018 in Seattle. She was born on Nov. 26, 1926 in Erwin, NC to William F. and Augness "Peggy" (King) Wright. She worked as a war time bike messenger and switchboard operator before making a career as Homemaker. As an empty nester Evelyn attended Olympic College, in Bremerton, and earned an Associate in Science degree in Geology. Evelyn was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve for over 50 years, and was active in Submarine Veterans Reunion Organizations. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and a volunteer Fireman. She enjoyed bowling leagues, sewing, crafting, embroidery, reading, Good Sam RV Club and traveling around the world. She enjoyed water aerobics for years and continued exercising into her 90's. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husbands Edward F. Feeley (1960) and Francis Martin Ryan (1991); devoted companion of 20 years James "Jim" W. Mason (2018); and daughter, Kathleen Patricia Ryan-Gaffney (2010). She is survived by her sons: Gary Prott; Michael Ryan; daughters: Rosemary Stehlik; Rebecca Bower; Anita Paulson and Susan Cook; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Dec. 29, 2018 at 10:30am at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 5303 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312. Please visit Evelyn's online guestbook at www.lewischapel.com
