Family and friends will meet at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer at 10:30 A.M. and then process to Riverside Cemetery for the Graveside Service.

Evelyn May Sweet, daughter of Joe and Minnie (Luzy) Sweet, was born May 14, 1946 in Spencer, Iowa. She received her education in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School. Evelyn continued her education at Larson Beauty School in Spencer.
After completing beauty school Evelyn worked as a beautician in Emmetsburg, Algona and Spencer for many years. She retired ten years ago.
Evelyn loved dolls and had a large collection of them. She liked driving around and visiting places, going to rummage sales and the Goodwill store. Evelyn also enjoyed meeting her friends at Main Street Café each morning.
Evelyn loved baking and cooking for her friends and family. When her nieces and nephews came they were always blessed with her meals. They nicknamed her Betty Crocker.
Evelyn passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Emmetsburg Care Center in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leonard, Jim and Fred Sweet; and two sisters, Lucille Campbell and Ruth Ness.
She is survived by her sister, Marty Sweet of Spencer, Iowa; her brother, Bill Sweet of Spencer, Iowa; brother-in-law, Alfred Ness of Spencer, Iowa; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
