EVELYN "EVE" (GRIEST)
A longtime resident of Ross Township, most recently of Coraopolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Heritage Valley Sewickley. She was born on August 13, 1931, in Wick Haven, PA to the late George and Anna (Stangroom) Griest. Beloved mother of Karen Ranieri (John) of Moon Township and Barry Tapper (Suzanne) of Wilkins Township; cherished grandmother of Jessica Scroggins (Kevin), Rachel Tapper (fiancé Sean), Samantha Tapper (fiancé Sean) and Nicole Ranieri; great- grandmother of Jacob, Kendra, Zoey, and Madison Evelyn; sister of Shirley Orr of New Castle, Indiana, Nancy Davis (Paul) of Monongahela, Frank Griest of VA, and Donald Griest (Judy); preceded in death by 12 other siblings. Fun loving, Evelyn loved all children (especially her family), playing Bingo and all animals. Family reunion, well attended boasts at least 200 relatives. Detailed oriented with her crafts, she made elaborate Halloween costumes for her children, valentine boxes, displays with race cars and a well decorated house for every Holiday. She made life fun! Visitation Thursday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. at COPELAND'S CORAOPOLIS, 867 Fifth Ave., where service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of the death of Evelyn (Mommy). Evelyn was a kind and hospitable lady with a great sense of humour. She was my surrogate Mum and friend whilst I lived in the States. I have many fond memories of her. God bless her and my sympathies to her family. Thank you Evelyn for all you did for me. Love Helen from England xx

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to Duff's with you. I met your mom and stayed a weekend with you. Your mother was very sweet and she made us a cherry topped cheese cake .
