It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dar Weatherill announce her sudden passing on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Okotoks, AB. Dar was one of the strongest, kindest, and most loving people one could ever meet. Her family always came first and she had special bonds with each and every one of her children. She also loved music, playing instruments, singing and enjoyed those family gatherings where music brought everyone joy. She also had a love for animals like no one else; her dogs were like kids, and she loved them and they loved her. Dar is survived by daughters, Debbie Weston and Val (Rudy) Vanderlaan; son, Robin Weatherill; grandchildren, Dave, Gord, Jodi, Michael, Denim (Jaclyn), and Cory (Amanda); great- grandchildren, Shaylene, Jaden, Kalaya, Jaxen, Kamryn, Caley, Sarah, Mia, Ava, Korra, Tyler, Austin, Levi, and Logan; her only sister, Delores Hoffart; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dar was predeceased by her common-law husband, Al Heaton; parents, Harvey and Tilley Goodkey; and her children, Kelly and Kathy Weatherill. Gone but never forgotten! A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Strathmore, AB. Please forward condolences through www.calgarycrematorium.com

Happy Birthday Mom. I will always smile when i think of all the many things we shared in our lives. It is really hard sometimes to know you are not here and i can't just pick up the phone and talk to you. I still know you hear me and are looking after all of us. I do know that you have loved ones with you, and you waited to be with Kelly and Kathy for so long that makes me happy, the peace that would give you.

Mother, you are the reason why we are here in this world. Right from our birth till will grew up to stand for ourselves, you backed us with all of your love, care and support. It really feels very sad and empty that you had passed away and we cannot celebrate your birthday together here on earth and cannot enjoy your special day by giving you gifts and a whack of scratch tickets, have an awesome dinner with all our family together and laugh all day long as we always did. For now, and until we can come meet you in heaven, let us shout out and sing..."Happy Birthday to you in Heaven Mom." You will hear our voices from our hearts and our prayers, please rest in peace momma, we really miss you so very much, much more than anything else in our lives. Our love for you is eternal as we only have one awesome Mom. We love you and will never ever forget how truly special, fortunate and blessed we are because we have the best damn Mom in the world!! Happy Mommy`s Day Mom! Man you taught me a lot of things and gave me a tremendous amount of strength....but I obviously am a mommas boy because man I sure am missing you and had no idea of the mommas boy hurt that comes with it. You are the very best mother I could have ever have hoped for. Who was to know how truly blessed we all are that you were and still are in our lives! I love you Mom more then you could ever know! Hey Momma....I know we were getting geared up for Christmas not too long ago. I wanted you to know that I let everyone know they will have to get in touch with you for their Christmas envelopes that you always hand out. I thought I would carry on your family tradition but then I thought...naa. This was your special gifts to all. I am more of a Grinch as you know and knew you would approve! We sure miss you but you will get to have a birthday party for Jesus and see it for yourself....I bet its awesome! Merry Christmas Mom! I love you very much!

The puppies miss you and love you dearly Mom. As I always said you can have 20 Dads but you only got one Mom! I love you so very much and thank you for being my Shepherd.
