EVERETT MAYNARD Obituary
He was born Jan. 13, 1937 in Plain City.
Duane started as an 18 year old as a commercial/industrial builder and retired from Ceco Corporation at the age of 56. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Dublin. He was a 1956 graduate of Plain City High School and was in the Army and Navy reserves.
Duane loved to be outside working in his garden. He was a fast pitch softball pitcher. He loved the get-togethers with his brothers and sisters-in-law to play cards, games and especially go out to dinner.
Preceded in death by his parents, Obia T. and Mary F. (Austin) Maynard.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann (Wilcox) Maynard whom he married Aug. 17, 1956; devoted daughters, Terri (Dave) Gempel of Parker, Colorado, Sherri (Mike) Cash of Grove City; cherished grandchildren, Katherine Jacobs, Thomas Gempel and Charles Cash; brother, Jack Dale (Linda) Maynard; sister, Connie Jane (Daniel) Hyland; beloved nieces and nephews; and last but not least, Smokey the cockatiel.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday, July 9, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St., Plain City, where the funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Rev. Adam Steinbrenner officiating. Burial Jerome Township Cemetery. Full military honors conducted by Union County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Road, Dublin, OH 43016.
