Evyln GABRIELSON Obituary
On December 19, 2012, Mrs. Evyln Gabrielson of Edmonton passed away at the age of 73 years.
Evyln is survived by one daughter and two sons, Pam Marie (Bernie) Funk, Jim (Lauretta) and Cory; two granddaughters, Shyla and Jona; siblings, Arnie (Teri) Pierce, Gwen Nelson, Evyon (Lawrence) Gruntman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Adrian and Bertie; brother, Harold Pierce; sister, Belva Goede; sister-in- law, Betty Pierce; brothers-in-law, Vic Nelson and Melvin Goede; nephews, Bradley, Kimberly and Tyler.
Memorial Service Friday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Dear Pam, Jim, Corey & families,
My deepest sympathy of all of you! I knew your Mom from Princeton and I thought she was pretty amazing and incredible! She was so easy to work with and talk to and she was always a favorite with the kids she helped. I kept in touch with cards after I married and moved to a farm by Leduc, and I still have the beautiful wedding plate and Christmas ceramic bear she made us, now I'll cherish them even more! She always made me beautiful Christmas cards, that she'd put my girls' pictures in, this past December, I wondered why one hadn't come...I was hoping this wasn't the reason, but thanks for letting me know, Pam. (I've been meaning to call you back, but I seemed to have misplaced your number, if you'd like to call me again, I'm usually home in the evenings, except Wed). I know all of you are very special, because she was very special, I'm so lucky to have known her. God Bless and my condolences.

So sorry for the loss of your mom. I remember her at Princeton School when I was a child and when my own daughter went there. My mom Gail could not be at the service and sends her condolances as well. She was a sweet lady and will be missed.

Pam, Jim, Cory & Families - our thoughts are with all of you through this very sad, heartbreaking time you are all going through. Aunt Ev was a wonderful lady who everyone enjoyed being around, and we all have many memories. She is now out of pain and your 'guardian angel'! Please except our sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. She was a very special lady and I will miss her. We first met on the Alaska bus trip and have kept in touch ever since. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and I know you did everthing you could for her these last months. You will miss her but be comforted that she is now free of pain and in a better place.

One of the most loving, caring, funny and empathetic beautiful women I have had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with! We will miss our times together with you Ms. Ev. You were there for all of our children as well as many many others that are now well into their 20's, as a teacher and friend. May you rest in peace knowing you had a hand in all of their upbringings! To Ev's children and grandchildren, take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
