On Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, age 80 of Valencia. Husband of Joan Needes Cooch; father of Janice Mathis and her husband Robert, Sandra Bulger and her husband Mark, and Dr. Evan Cooch, PhD . and his partner Jennifer Austin; grandfather of Moran Austin Cooch, Stewart and Jessica Mathis, and Megan and Nickolas Bulger. Mr. Cooch was a Research Scientist for the Canadian Wildlife Service. Arrangements are private by McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave,. Mars, PA. I was very sorry to hear from Mom about Dr. Cooch's death. I'll always remember him and his interest in migratory birds (especially the Lesser Snow Goose). Every time I look at a picture of ducks, I remember the story of him in an art shop asking "How much for the picture of the Hooded Merganser?", to which the clerk replied "You mean the duck?"

My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.
