F. Joseph Svec Obituary
Joe received an accounting degree from Michigan State University. After graduation, he earned his CPA license while working at Deloitte. Joe left Deloitte and subsequently become Executive VP and CFO of the Bendix Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Upon retiring from Bendix, he became the owner of Wheel Dressing, Inc., a Detroit area provider of precision grinding wheel shaping systems.
Joe loved boating on the Great Lakes, western skiing, golfing and travel. He and Sally resided in
Florida for many winters, where they enjoyed golfing. In 2002, they built their retirement home in Tellico Village, TN, on the Little Tennessee River, where they continued to enjoy their outdoor activities. Joe was a wonderful husband and father. He was generous, softhearted and loved to laugh.
Joe is survived by his wife, his daughter and son-in-law Sue and Glen Turton, his daughter Toni
Heidrich, his sisters Dolores Franklin and Carolyn Ghastin, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
