Felice Kincannon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 10, 2025.
Felice Kincannon passed away peacefully on April 6,2025 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents John G. de Grouchy and Patricia Morris de Grouchy. She is survived by her sisters, Janine de Grouchy Hraska (Paul) and Suzanne de Grouchy and her nephew Thomas de Grouchy Siller and nieces Zoe Hraska and Georgeanne de Grouchy Siller.

Felice was an ardent advocate for her community of Lowell, Massachusetts, her rescue dogs, and her friends. Felice grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and attended Eden Hall in Torresdale, PA. Felice became a New Englander after attending Smith College and later earned an MBA in Environmental and Organizational Sustainability from Antioch University of New England. Throughout her career, Felice brought a talent for process and systems analysis to her roles. Felice started in Advertising, working up to Media Director, then Managing Director at Hill, Holiday. Venturing out as an independent consultant, Felice was an early adopter of web-based marketing and offered strategic consulting on web-based business models. Felice's resume grew to add expertise in economic, environmental and social sustainability.

Felice's interest in the environment led her to the Toxic Use Reduction Institute in Lowell, and finally to the Greater Lowell Community Foundation, which she proudly promoted to friends and family. Felice was an excellent citizen of Lowell, supporting local businesses and organizations through volunteer work and engagement. Felice was a world traveler, fly fisherwoman, cinephile, and avid reader. She will be remembered for her fierce independence, intelligence, and dry wit.

Felice was a very proud sponsor and advocate for the City of Lowell, its parks, and its people. She enjoyed walking her dog, going to the farmers' market, and the fairs at Lucy Larcom Park. Contributions in memory of Felice can be made in support of the activities in Lucy Larcom Park to the Lowell Waterways Vitality Initiative, c/o Greater Lowell Community Foundation, 100 Merrimack Street, Suite 202, Lowell, MA 01852, Lowell Waterways Lighting Initiative or to support a safe space for students to develop their talents through mentorship and instruction at Refuge Arts School.

A family gathering will be held at a later date.

I had the pleasure of working with Felice at the Foundation and during our mutual tenures at Refuge. She was an incredibly smart and intuitive woman who cared deeply about Lowell and young people.

The world is a smaller place without her.
