Fern Jessop Scott

LOGAN, Utah - Fern Jessop Scott, 91, of Logan, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, in Logan. She was born July 11, 1918, at home in Millville. She was the fourth of 13 children.
Fern met Therwin Scott of Millville when they were children. They became sweethearts and were married on May 25, 1938, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Therwin and Fern had one child, Karen, who is deceased.
Fern raised Karen while Therwin was serving honorably in the U.S. Army in 1945-46 in Korea.
After Therwin's return from military service, Fern supported him throughout his career as a mechanic. In 1965 she helped him open Scott's Automotive.
One of Fern's favorite pastimes was to go on rides with Therwin through rural Cache Valley in their big red Buick. They were widely known in the county and their car was recognized by many.
Fern was a member of the LDS Church and served in various callings throughout the years.
She is survived by grandsons Scott, Michael and Brent Raymond; sisters Virginia Jenson and Dixie Olsen; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday in the Hillcrest 2nd Ward. There will be a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in the Millville City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.allenmortuaries.net.
