Fibbie Ann Pearson was born on November 27, 1951 in Kingstree, South Carolina. She later moved to Florida with her parents and siblings when Carol and Conyers felt that Florida would make a better opportunity for their family.

Fibbie received her formal education from The Martin County Public School System. There she was involved in chorus, where she polished her soprano skills. She graduated from Martin County High School in 1969. Fibbie met Bennie Hampton in Stuart, Florida, and they later married on July 11th, 1970. Their union was blessed with three children, Shonda, Jamie, and Kamela.

Fibbie spent the majority of her life under the employee of Southeastern Printing, Stuart Middle School, and The Stuart News/Scripps Treasure Coast. During her tenure at these organizations, Fibbie met employees who would later become lifelong friends.

On January 6th, 2018, the good Lord saw fit to call Fibbie home. She departed this world peacefully, and confident that her work here was done. She was surrounded by her closest loved ones who witnessed her transition from this world.

Fibbie was preceded in death by her father, Carol McFadden.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her husband, Bennie Hampton of Stuart, Florida; a loving mother, Conyers McFadden of Stuart, Florida; a loving mother-in-law Annie Ruth Williams of Stuart, Florida; one son, Jamie (Kenya) Hampton of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Shonda (Earnest) Toliver of Hollywood, Florida and Kamela Ames of Port St. Lucie, Florida; three sisters, Mary (Willie) Little, Carolyn (Wayne, deceased) Floyd, and Ruth Little, all of Port St Lucie, Florida; three brothers, Roosevelt (Rose, deceased) Pearson of Stuart, Florida, Henry (Gwen) McFadden, and Levon (Patricia) McFadden, both of Port St. Lucie Florida; eight grandchildren, three grandchildren (and one on the way), a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and church family members.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4pm-6pm with a wake service to begin from 6pm-7pm. A home going celebration will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 noon and burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
