Fidelia "Fifi" Aguilar Rodriguez died on December 27, 2014 in Austin, Texas at the age of 87. She was surrounded by family. Fidelia is survived by her son, Arthur Gilbert Osorio, daughter, Rose Ellen Guerrero (husband Frank James Guerrero), son, Robert Ceasar Osorio (wife Mirisa Marie Osorio); siblings, Ramon Aguilar, Alfonso Aguilar, Rosa Aguilar and Pauline Pena (Joe Pena) all of Austin, Texas; great-grandson, Marcus Wise; grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Wise (husband Stephen Wise), Angela Necole Marte, Ashley Marie Osorio, Jessica Rose Osorio and Gilbert Elijah Osorio. She is preceded in death by her parents and by Gilbert Osorio and Lorenzo Rodriguez. Fidelia was born to Emmederio and Narcisa Aguilar on November 16, 1927 in McNeil, Texas. She was married to Gilbert Osorio for 30 years and had three children, Arthur, Rose and Robert. After being widowed for 5 years, and with her children's approval, Fidelia married Lorenzo Rodriguez. They were married for 30 years until his passing on 07/16/2006. Fidelia was a loving and doting wife, mother and grandmother. She instilled in her children respect and compassion. They remember her as always being supportive and patient. Her great grandson and grandchildren remember her as being kind, gentle and loving - always ready with warm hugs and kisses. She was generous with her love and enjoyed watching her novela's and cooking shows. She was an active member of San Jose Catholic Church. Psalm 23:4-6 (NKJV) 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever Our hearts ache so deeply. We feel empty without you, but we know that you are young again and feel no pain or discomfort. We know you are where you are needed most. Sweet gentle soul that you are, rest in peace. We will love you always. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress, Austin,Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, January 5, 2015 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Pall bearers are Arthur Osorio, Robert Osorio, Frank Guerrero, Stephen Wise, Paul Nava and John Shewmaker. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St Davids South Austin Medical Center for their kindness and compassion.
