Filomena M. Golding, 85, of Silverdale, passed away on March 22, 2012.

She was born on July 16, 1926 in Naples Italy to Giacomo and Ester (Chiatto) Panza. While in Italy she attended school until WWII and she also married her husband Jack C. Golding. She took great care of, and cooked many excellent Italian meals for the priests of Holy Trinity Church in Bremerton.

She also loved and was very good at being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, being a homemaker, a military wife, cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and dancing in her younger years. She appreciated the arts, culture, music and especially the opera. She lived in such places as San Diego, Yokosuka, Japan before settling in Bremerton.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Cilla Panza; son-in-law, Robert Fillion; Uncle, Prof. Giovanni Ponza the artist and poet neapolitan as well as her cousin Antonio Panza the artist. She is survived by her sons, Jack and Alan Golding; daughter, Barbara Fillion; brothers Enrico Panza, Luigi (Nunzia) Panza and Maria Panza, all of Italy; grandchildren, Joshua, John, Amy, Sabrina and Alicia Golding, Tyler Romero and Cristiana Fillion; great-grandchildren Otto and Chasey; nieces and nephews, Esterina, Pier-Paolo, Stefania, Giacomo, Bruno and Massimo. She is also survived by her friends and family Carol Golding, Teresa Golding, Antonietta Xavier, Amelia Nelch of California, Rosemary Psonis of Greece and many other beloved family and friends.

There will be a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday, March 29th, 2012. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity and the interment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
