FLORENCE BUSH

BushApril 13, 1915 - Jan 22, 2013 TOMBALL, TX Florence Elizabeth Bush passed away on January 22, 2013, in Tomball, TX. She was 97 years old, born April 13, 1915, in Fayetteville, AR. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Bush; and her son, Robert Bush. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet & Dale Rutledge, Houston, TX. Florence grew up in Napa, ID and in Lincoln, AR. She moved to Oklahoma City, OK in 1939, where she married and raised her family. She worked for several years as department manager at Dillard's. In 2002, she moved to Houston to be with her family. She lived at Tomball Nursing Center from 2007 until her death. The family thanks everyone at TNC for their kindness and loving care of their mother. Florence was a dedicated, lifelong Methodist. She was a very active member of St. Luke's UMC in Oklahoma City. After moving to Houston, she joined John Wesley UMC. She loved this church dearly and made many friends. There will be a "Celebration of Life" at the home of her daughter and husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John Wesley UMC Endowment Fund, 5830 Bermuda Dunes, Houston, TX 77069. Interment will be in Oklahoma City at a later date.
