Floy Wilma Reavis

Graveside Services for Floy (Walmer) Reavis, 89, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29 at the Resthaven Memorial Park. Her visitation will be Thursday, April 28th from 3 - 8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Floy Reavis passed away at her home in Gillette Wyoming on April 23, 2011. She was born Jan 9, 1922 in Shawnee, the daughter of Vesta (Bullock) Walmer and Lee Walmer. She was raised and educated in that area and graduated from the Earlsboro, Oklahoma High School in 1940. On June 8, 1940 she married William "Gerald" Reavis in Shawnee. They remained in that area for a short time, then moved to Princeton, Ind. They moved to various places around the country until coming to Gillette, Wyoming in 1958. Mrs. Reavis was a member of the First Baptist Church. Floy loved to fish with the family and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, a son David G. Reavis, a daughter Rita Schell and husband Don, a granddaughter Debi Tobin, a great granddaughter Alyssa Tobin, and a baby grandson. Survivors include her daughter Neva Hardy and Husband Bob of Gillette Wyoming, her daughter Peg Deans and husband Alan of Artesia, New Mexico. Along with 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many friends and extended family that loved her dearly.
