Floyd Sonny Maxson

Floyd, when my son told me of his passing it was a gut punch. We flew for the same guy, he, as as a phenomenal helo pilot and me just fixed wing. We had so so many wonderful times together, I still have just such a hard time accepting this. He was always so incredibly upbeat and just a wonderful person! I don´t know what to say to his family, I can´t imagine. I was just so privileged to enjoy his company in our mutual friends! I will never forget our friendship, he always spoke of his kids....we had alot of good times together on the road. I will miss you deeply Floyd.

Never got the chance to say goodbye, & learning to live without you & Cindy is heart-wrenching. We shared so many great times together. Floyd, you were always the life of the party. So grateful for having you both in my life.

Floyd and Cindy got married in our front yard on Galveston Bay and we came to love them dearly. We will miss them dearly. This is so heartbreaking.

I can't believe this. Floyd loved his family fiercely. He was such a hilarious guy and was equally as giving. He would have done anything for anyone. My heart is just shattered over this news for his family. Rest peacefully, Floyd. You didn't deserve this. The world has lost a good one.
