Floyd "Pete" Richardson

Floyd Wayne "Pete" Richardson was born in Sylvatus, Virginia, the son of Elsa Leah Lewis Richardson and Aaron F. Richardson. Pete and his wife, Juanita, were longtime members of the Memorial Baptist Church in Pulaski.

Pete was a veteran who served in the Army during the Korean war; he was honorably discharged as a SGT E-5. He then began his career as a civilian in the Army working in logistics management, from which he retired after many years.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his son Mark Wayne Richardson and his brother Aaron Bruce Richardson. Pete is survived by his devoted wife of 73 years, Juanita Craig Richardson of Pulaski, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pete was dearly loved and cherished by his family and friends for his thoughtfulness, his generous nature, and his compassion. He practiced kindness and charity to others on a daily basis, a true Christian who walked the walk.
