Cape Coral - Forrest Dwight Rohrer, 76, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Cape Coral, FL. Born on February 11, 1949, to Chauncey A. Rohrer, Sr. and Frances (Ewing) Rohrer of Sharpsburg, MD. Forrest was a graduate of Boonsboro High School, class of 1967. After graduation he was employed as an electrician in Gaithersburg, MD., until he moved south to Orlando, FL. where he was employed with Clark Equipment. In 2006 he retired while residing in Fort Myers, FL.

He was a loyal Washington Commanders fan, a passion that stayed with him even after relocating to Florida.

Forrest is survived by his son, Steven W. Rohrer (Stacy), granddaughter Tiffany Smith (Wyatt), and great-granddaughter Sofia, all of Keedysville, MD. He also leaves behind his brother, Chauncey A. Rohrer, Jr. (Linda) of Boonsboro, MD; two sisters, Sandra L. Ingram (Henry) of Sharpsburg, MD, and Jeanne M. Gray (Ronnie) of Antietam, MD; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Terrence (Terry) L. Rohrer and Blaine E. Rohrer, half-brothers Melvin F. Saylor and Ronald W. Saylor, and a great nephew, Tyler W. Morris.

Services provided by Gallaher Funeral Home & Crematorium of Fort Myers, FL.

Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, MD on November 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Foundation in memory of Forrest.
