O'Brien, The Reverend Father Anthony entered eternal life on May13, 2018 . Fr. Tony would be celebrating his 30 years of priesthood this May 28, 2018, and currently was serving the parish community of St. Malachy. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Anne O’Brien, his sister, Mrs. Rita O’Brien,whom currently live in England. Father Tony was born on January 30, 1955 in the United Kingdom of an Irish catholic family. From very early on he had a desire to become a priest. He pursued other career options at first and found his way to seminary in Ireland. Fr. Tony eventually made his way to Miami as a seminarian and was ordained a deacon on April 10 1987 and a priest on May 28, 1988 for the Archdiocese of Miami. He has served here diligently for the past 30 years. Among his placements of priestly service are Saint Bartholomew, Saint Timothy, Saint Kevin, Little Flower, Coral Gables in the 1980’s and 1990’s and Saint Hugh Saint Helen, Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Pastor of Saint Charles Borromeo and parochial vicar at Saint Malachy in most recent years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2018 from 6pm-9pm at Saint Malachy Parish with prayer service starting at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 11:00am at Saint Malachy Parish 6200 John Horan Terrace, Tamarac Florida 33321, followed with burial at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In his memory the family suggests donations to St. Malachy Catholic Church or your favorite catholic charity in his name. Thank you, Father Obrien, for your amazing service to our Lord. You carried us through our pre-wedding journey with love, humor, and great faith! You married us at Little Flower Church in 1996, and weve been happily married ever since! You will be GREATLY missed...God bless your soul.
