Angela Franca Dora Novielli, age 52, passed away on Friday, August 29,2014 at the Montreal General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 6, 1961 in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of Olimpia and the late Angelo Novielli. Franca graduated from Holy Names High School After 11 years of courtship, Franca married her husband of 26 years Joe Borsellino. Together they had two lovely children, Franco (25) and Lia (22). After the birth of her first son, she left her job at the Royal Bank of Canada, International Centre in Place Ville Marie to take care of her young family. She made many friends, kept fit and made every day at home a very busy and beautiful one. Beloved wife of Joe Borsellino and loving mother to Franco and Lia, she also leaves her mother Olimpia, sister Tina (Ian), brother Leo (Jacqui), her in-laws Francesco and Rosalia, her sister-in-law Carm (Hosein), her brother-in-law Gaspare, her nephews AIi, Marco and Damiano, and niece Sara. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through this battle. During her battle, she was able to enjoy countless parties with family and friends, several vacations with her loved one's and left this world with honour, dignity and respect. Franca will be remembered for her radiant smile and contagious laugh. She truly exuded beauty from within. She was loving, caring and kind but most of all extremely selfless. Throughout her struggle with cancer, she always stayed true to herself by putting her loved ones first. Franca always reached out to others and was always ready for acts of generosity. In 2004, she founded the GarnierKids.com Foundation, whose mission was to provide financial support to the care and wellbeing for children giving them the opportunity to grow up healthy. This foundation held a special place in her heart as her love for children and giving back was undying. Some of Franca's passions were travelling, cooking, exercising with her friends, care giving and socializing. She was always there to give a helping hand and shoulder to cry on and was known for giving the greatest advice. We'd like to send a special thanks to Dr. Peter Metrakos and Daphne. We would like to thank Dr. Kavan and the Oncology Department at the Royal Victoria Hospital and all the staff members who made those chemo sessions supportable. Lastly, we'd like to thank Dr. Borod and all the staff at the Montreal General Hospital of the Palliative Care Unit. The family will receive condolences at Complexe Funeraire Loreto, 4975 Boulevard des Grandes Prairies, Saint-Leonard, Tuesday, September 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Ia-Defense, 6800 Avenue Henri Julien, Montreal and then to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, 4601 Chemin de la cote des neiges, Montreal.
