Frances Elaine "Maw Maw Lane" Eagleson

Frances Elaine Eagleson, known affectionately as Maw Maw Lane, passed away on August 9, 2024, at the age of 72 in her hometown of Woodville, Texas. Born on January 15, 1952, in Woodville to Darnell and Ethel Gardner, Elaine lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.

Elaine's career was as diverse as her interests, having worked in sales, as an EMT, and in security. Her commitment to helping others shone through her professional and personal life. Elaine was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Warren, Texas, where she participated actively in church activities and community service.

A woman of deep faith and boundless love, Elaine cherished her family above all. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Lee Eagleson of Woodville, Texas; her sister, Linda Gardner of Pearland, Texas; daughters, Darlene Howard and her husband Chris of Beaumont, Texas, Rene Phelps and her husband Danny of Beaumont, Texas, and Amanda of Onaway, Michigan. Elaine's legacy also includes 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Her mother-in-law, Helen Eagleson, of Onaway, Michigan, also survives her. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Darnell and Ethel Gardner.

Despite health challenges in her final years, Elaine's spirit remained unbroken. She continued to enjoy bingo and cherished the moments spent with her family, never missing a family function and always ready to lend a helping hand.

A memorial service will be held on September 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 11645 Hwy 69 South, Warren, Texas. The service will be followed by food and fellowship at the home of Brandon and Laura Bryant in Warren, Texas. The family invites all who knew Elaine to join in celebrating her remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wayne Eagleson, who cared for Elaine in her final years and faced significant financial hardships as a result. Contributions will help alleviate some of the burdens faced during this challenging time.
