Wirth, Frances Jane, née Bradfield, Age 87

On Valentine's Day 2025, God chose Frances Jane Wirth to be a special Valentine. Born in Logansport, IN, March 13, 1937 to Thomas and Bess Bradfield, she spent her youth in Central Indiana and Decatur, IL with half-brother James Gibson. Graduating with the Decatur HS Class of 55', Jane was best known as the drum majorette. She then earned a bachelor's at Eastern Illinois, a Master's at Purdue, and completed post graduate studies at Indiana State and Wisconsin. Her career in education began as a teacher in Decatur and Mount Prospect, IL. She then became a counselor at Eisenhower High School where she met Wallace Wirth, her husband of 58 years. From this union, the Wirth's had 2 sons, Charles Wirth of Fenton, MI and Todd Wirth and daughter-in-law, Fatimah Wirth of Georgetown, TX. Jane would spend the rest of her professional life working as a school psychologist serving the needs of children in the Chicagoland area and Las Vegas, NV. Jane was a lifelong lover of literature, participating in and founding book discussion groups, including "The Novel Bunch" in Sun City. She was a dance instructor and enjoyed sewing, beading, and swimming. She was a member of AAUW, DAR, and Sigma Kappa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation for cancer research.

What a classy lady! Enjoyed going to water aerobics and luncheons with you and the girls. Your body endured so many years of suffering. Rest in peace, Sweet Jane.
