Frances Johnson

Frances Johnson 1915-2013 EAST LONGMEADOW - Frances "Marion" (Walker) Johnson, 97 of East Longmeadow, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in East Dennis, MA ., on September 10, 1915 a daughter of the late George C. and Frances M. (Hull) Walker. Frances was a graduate of Middleboro High School. She was employed by the Town of East Longmeadow and worked at Mountain view School and retired after twenty years of service. Later, she worked for the Council of Aging in East Longmeadow. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church in East Longmeadow. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her beloved husband Milton Johnson in 2000, and four sisters Lillian Chinouard, Georgia Christian, Mary Woodard, and Helen Hurd. Frances is survived by three devoted children Milton A. Johnson, Jr., and his wife Norma of Florida., William G. Johnson and his wife Jackie of Wilbraham., and Faith Marion Michalek and her husband Alan of Springfield., and she leaves one sister Dorothy Samler of Florida., and she leaves thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren., and she leaves many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a gathering on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 10a.m. until 11a.m. at the First Baptist Church 50 Parker Street, East Longmeadow, MA, 01028, followed by a Funeral Service at 11A.M. in the church. Burial will follow in Baptist Village Cemetery corner of Parker and Hampden Road in East Longmeadow. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances memory to the First Baptist Church.
