Frances Evans Karr, 73, of Montevallo, Alabama, passed away Saturday morning, July 9, 2011. She was a cherished mother, devoted grandmother, loving great-grandmother, giving sister, and loyal friend. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Karr Jr.; her parents, C.E. Evans and Catherine Simmons Evans of Camden, Arkansas; and one son, Randall Allen Karr. Survivors include two sons, Keith Karr (Shawn) and Greg Karr (Renea); five grandchildren, Evan Karr, Natalie Karr, Lauren Karr, Jason Karr, and Jessica Karr Powell; two great-grandchildren, Easton Powell and Chase Karr; four brothers, Walter Evans, Ben Evans, Jimmy Evans (Diane), and Gary Evans (Lois); and one sister, Peggy Lamkin. The visitation will be from 12 noon until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. the same day in Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham, and burial will follow in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
