Frances Darlene Lewis

Frances (Fran) Darlene Lewis, 81, passed peacefully, in Warrenton, VA, with her family by her side, on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She was born in Minford, Ohio and was raised in Louisa, Kentucky, as one of 10 children. After graduating high school, she moved to Northern Virginia where she met her husband. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and her home. Though she moved several times throughout her lifetime, her heart remains at Riverplace in Edinburg, VA. There, she had neighbors, friends and a church family that loved her just as much. She was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church & Victory Baptist Church (Nokesville, VA), Battlefield Baptist Church (Warrenton, VA) and Valley Baptist Church (Edinburg, VA).

Fran was cherished for her warmth, her compassion, her kindness, her unmatched patience, and her never-ending love that she extended to everyone. Her strong faith in God guided and carried her and her family through some challenging times. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Teresa (Terri) Lewis, as well as several siblings. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, David Lewis, her son David (Tim) Lewis (Naomi Lewis) of Winchester, her youngest daughter, Katrina Lee (Mike Lee) of Sumerduck,

her beloved grandsons, David M. Lewis, Daniel Lewis (Jessiy Lewis), Trevor Lee, Ryan Lee and her siblings Kate Kiriacopulos (Ken Kiriacopulos), Clare Frazier (Carl Frazier) and Virginia Hay of Springboro, Ohio and Martin Hay (Pam Hay) of Louisa, Kentucky, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a small, private, graveside service and plan to have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
