It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on December 1, 2008 at the age of 77. Our mom died peacefully after a valiant battle with liver cancer. Over the last 30 years she had beaten cancer 3 times, always with a positive and optimistic attitude. She leaves behind her 4 children and their spouses; Catherine and Grant, Linda and Tim, Fraser and Cari, Callum and Brenda. She was the proud and loving grandma of Charlotte, Jacob and Joshua, Dylan, Brent and Laurel, Kate and Quinn. Mom will be remembered as a cheerful and energetic force who talked to everyone and welcomed all with the greatest hugs and the best chocolate chip cookies. We are profoundly grateful for the love and support of mom's many friends. Friends and family will be received at HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME, MARKHAM, 10 Cachet Woods Court, (northeast corner of 16th Ave. & Hwy 404) 905-887-8600 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on December 4, 2008. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in mom's honour can be made to the Hyperbaric Chamber at Toronto General Hospital, a treatment which greatly improved mom's quality of life.
