Frances Reilly Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 17 to Mar. 21, 2018.
Monday March 12, 2018, Sacramento, CA. Chicks was 89 years old when she died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 11, 1928, Manhattan, NY to Nora and Jeremiah McGillicuddy. She was the youngest of four children: brother Jerome and sisters Cathleen and Sr. Marion McGillicuddy SU, all of whom preceded her in death. She was married in 1949 to John J. Reilly in Riverdale, NY. A loving mother to her 9 children: Maureen, John (Mary Jane Purcell), Michael (Deceased), Cathleen Ragone (Eugene), Sheila, Patricia McCullaugh (Ciaran), Danny (Colleen O'Neil), Siobhan Riehl (Tony) and Timmy (Karen McClure). A grandmother to 26 wonderful grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of life, her great sense of humor, cup cake day with her grandchildren, being a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall, the wonderful summers we spent together at "The Beacher House" in Southhampton, LI. But most of all for her love of family. Chicks was a simple person, she couldn't tell you what make or model car she drove, didn't really care about what house she lived in, those things just weren't important to her. She said God put her on this earth to raise and care for her family. Everything else came after that. There will be a Rosary held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday March 20th at 7:00pm. (5057 Cottage Way, Carmichael CA). The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Wednesday March 21st at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Sisters of St. Ursula Linwood 50 Linwood Rd., Rhinebeck, NY 12572 ATTN: Sr. Isaac Koenig SU
