FRANCES RICHARDS WRIGHT Obituary

The oldest and the last of 8 children, Frances McKennth Richards Wright passed away on March 28, 2017 at Kirkwood by the River. Her home was in Springville, Ala., where she and her husband Frank D. Wright lived for 66 years. They were blessed by 6 children. Mrs. Wright was born in Kennedy, Ala. April 21, 1915. She graduated from Kennedy High School and the University of Alabama to become a teacher. She was a faithful Alabama football fan. She taught at Springville High School and Elementary School. She was a member of Springville First United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Children's Dept. and a member of the U.M.W and the Cokesbury Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading and loved flowers. She was a lady in every sense of the word who lived her faith daily and showed kindness and gratitude towards everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank D. Wright Sr., her parents, J.W. and Kitty Richards and all her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Frank Wright Jr. (Cass) and Jim Wright (Richie), daughters, Sally Lewis (Steve), Sandra Folts (Ed), Sharon Davis (Curt) and Suzanne Taliaferro (Henry). Grandchildren, Ashley Rischard (Randy) , Ian Davis , Steven Folts, Katie Brown (Joseph) and Julie Taliaferro; great grandchildren, Cameron Rischard, Ella Rischard and Polly Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Kirkwood By The River and St. Vincent's Hospice.
Her family will receive friends at Ridout's Trussville Chapel Saturday April 1, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Springville City Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Kirkwood by the River in the chapel Sunday April 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Richard Hannah officiating.
