Frances (Fran) Marie McLaurin Taylor died March 16, 2023, at St. James Place in Baton Rouge. She was 91, born in Electric Mills, Mississippi, and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1949. She co-founded, in 1963, along with her husband, R. Edwin Taylor, Taylor Office Supply Company which they owned until selling in 1994. Fran traveled the world with her husband, visiting all seven continents and 82 countries, and was also an instrument rated private pilot. She was a member of the 99's, International Organization of Women Pilots, Baton Rouge Aircraft Pilots Ass'n, Eastern Star, and the Methodist Church. She is survived by her three sons, Grady Edwin Taylor and his wife Roxanne Lea Taylor, Baton Rouge, Honorable Richard David Taylor, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Steven Curtis Taylor and his wife, Jamie Chatagnier Taylor, Baton Rouge, four grandchildren, Christine Lynn Taylor and her husband, Christian Klein, Austin, Texas, Brandon Robert Taylor and his wife, Bliss, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lindsey Lea Taylor and her husband Jason Shaw, Baton Rouge, and Hannah Frances Taylor and her husband, Kevin Layne, Houston, Texas, great-granddaughter Marigny Frances Klein, Austin, Texas, great-grandson, Charles Grady Shaw, Baton Rouge, and great-granddaughter Camille Hannah Shaw, Baton Rouge. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, George Samuel Calvert, Pensacola, Florida, and former daughter-in-law Dottie Cupit Daniels, Carbondale, Colorado. Preceded in death September 29, 2013, by her husband of 64 ½ years, R. Edwin Taylor, Daddy, Grady Clark McLaurin, Mother, Christine Webb McLaurin Mosley, brother, Grady Webb McLaurin, and sister, Beth McLaurin Calvert. A memorial service will be scheduled soon. Memorial donations are suggested to The East Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control Center, 2680 Progress Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70807, The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, P. O. Box 2996, Baton Rouge, LA 70821, or a charity of your choice.

Steve and Jaimie-I was trying to reach Fran this morning! I had not known of her passing. I always enjoyed visiting with her and have fond memories of both her and your Dad. We are saddened by your loss Janine and Jamey Hopper

Dear Taylor Family, Ed and Frances lived next to us in their early life together in a small duplex on Jefferson Ave. My mother loved them.
