Frances R. Vought

VOUGHT, FRANCES WATERVLIET - Frances R. "Babe" Halpin Vought, 99, formerly of Fifth Avenue, Port Schuyler, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Schuyler Ridge Residential Health Care Center in Clifton Park. Born and educated in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Christopher A. and Hannah Shea Halpin and the beloved wife for over 58 years to George L. Vought, who died on February 29, 2008. Mrs. Vought retired in 1972 from Albany International in Menands where she had been employed for over 45 years as an Inspector. She was a communicant of St. Brigids Church in Watervliet as well as having been a member of the church Altar Rosary Society. Devoted Aunt of David (Linda) Shickle of Colonie, sister of the late Joseph P., Christopher P. and William J. Halpin and Mary E. Shickle. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Brigids Church (Corner of Seventh Street and Fourth Avenue) in Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Cummings Funeral Home, 643 Third Avenue in Watervliet on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Colonie.
