Francesca CARROZZA

CARROZZA, Francesca (nee Canino)
February 9, 1923 – February 25, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francesca Carrozza of Edmonton, formerly of Albi, Catanzaro, Italy, at the age of 93 years. Francesca passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She is survived by her children, Anna (late Giuseppe Verduci), Salvatore (Rita), Frank (Franca) and Carmelina (Nick Stagliano); brother, Aldo Canino (Concetta) and Mafalda (late Salvatore Cosentino); grandchildren, Milena (Celestino), Carmelo (Caterina), Francesca (Ed), Antonio (Maria), Carmelo (Stephanie), Roberto, Anthony, Rosa, Marianna, and Giuseppe; nine great- grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Francesca was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Carrozza; parents, Francesco and Francesca Canino; son-in-law, Giuseppe Verduci, and immediate family members Rosetta and Alberto Caramignoli, Nicola and Lauretta Canino, Pasquale and Angelina Canino and Salvatore Cosentino.
She will always be remembered for her incredible work ethic and strong dedication to her family.
Thank you to the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and special gratitude to Dr. Deborah Semeniuk for the care and compassion she provided over the many years.
Prayers Wednesday, March 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 3 at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend George Puramadathil CFIC officiating with interment in St. Michael's Cemetery.
