Rose TOURAND Obituary
(nee Frocklage)
Peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2017, two weeks shy of her 98th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Tom, daughter Dolores and her two great-grandsons Jordan Powell and Brendan Rafferty. She is survived by her sons Ivor (Roberta) and Mel (Paulette) and her daughter Sharon Patterson (Bob). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great- grandchildren. Rose grew up in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan where she met her husband, Tom. They moved to BC during the depression, finally settling in Vancouver where they raised their four children. Rose belonged to the Haney Old Time Fiddlers for many years with her husband Tom and found great enjoyment in any event where the old fiddle tunes were played. Rose was the last surviving member of the Frocklage family of Meadow Lake, after her older sister Mary died earlier this year. Mass of the Resurrection for Rose will be held on Friday, November 3 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd. in Maple Ridge. Condolences may be sent to
