Francesco (Frank) Bertagnolli Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 11, 2010.
Francesco (Frank) Bertagnolli

Passed away at home on April 11, 2010 in the arms of his loving wife, Theresa. Frank was dedicated to his family. A man of great foresight, he emigrated from South Tirol, Italy in 1956 in search of a better life for his future children and grandchildren. His cheery disposition, generous nature and unfailingly optimistic outlook on life garnered him many friends throughout his life. In addition to a successful career in real estate, Frank enjoyed many happy hours on his farm in Rockwood, Ontario raising his family, tending the cattle and many horses, caring for his nut trees, and chopping wood. Later in life, his passions expanded to include woodworking in his home workshop and giving tractor rides to his grandchildren. Frank is survived by his children: Marcus (Michelle), Alexa (Ruben), and Marion (Daciano). Nonno will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Brandon, Melea, Brenna, Isaac, Micah, and Xavier. Friends will be received at the JERRETT FUNERAL HOME (1141 St. Clair Ave W) Toronto, on Tuesday from 7-9pm and Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (354 St. Clair Ave W) Toronto, on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 10am. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

We as a family often speak of the fun we had at Shiloh Ranch. Thank you for the wonderful memories and we wish so much that we had of known of Frank's death in time to attend his farewell mass. He was a wonderful, kind, warm, and sincere man who taught us many things about life.
God bless his soul.

He now has gone home to God...we were saddened to hear last night of Frank's death. He was a wonderful neighbour and helped us tremendously with all of our farming adventures. He was such a positive influence in so many ways. Please accept Tom and my condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Not only have I worked with Marcus for 20 years, but I was also acquainted with Frank many years ago when I worked with Victor Solnicki and Frank was a constant visitor to the office. I have fond memories of him as an astute business man and as a dedicated family man.
