Francine Wisniewski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 2, 2024.
1962-2024

Our Dear Francine Antiga-Wisniewski passed away peacefully just a day after her 62nd birthday on April 27th, 2024. Her adoring husband, Robert Wisniewski, was by her side.

Born on April 26th, 1962 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, Fran lived most of her childhood in the New Columbus section of Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania. Fran and Rob raised their two boys in beautiful Lake Hauto. They moved to Pittsburgh and have been there the past five years overlooking the scenic city. Fran worked many years as a beautician and Zumba/fitness instructor.

Fran loved her family with all her heart. She was a devoted wife to Robert Wisniewski; proud mother of her sons Tyler (Hannah) Wisniewski and Cody Wisniewski; cherished daughter of Marge Yenchick Antiga and the late Frank Antiga; loving sister to Frank (Michelle) Antiga and Peter Antiga; beloved daughter-in-law of Helen Wisniewski; loyal sister-in-law of John (Tammy) Wisniewski and Arthur (Karen) Wisniewski, and known as "AF" (Aunt Fran) to her nephews and nieces Nicholas, Artie (April), Anthony, Chelsea (Jesse), Haley (Sam), Amanda (Luke), Miranda (Luke), and great-nephew, Walker. Fran's many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends meant the world to her.

Fran will be remembered as the life of the party. She was one-of-a-kind and brought her vibrant energy and positive spirit everywhere. Fran will be shining down on all of us the rest of our lives. A sunny day at the beach or pool, listening to a band with a drink in hand, or shopping will always remind us of her. She was so strong for so long and lived with great positivity. We will all miss our beautiful and vivacious Fran so very much. The happy memories we share will live on forever. Thank you to everyone for the support and prayers as Fran fought her fight with amazing bravery. Love you forever Franny!

A celebration of her life will be forthcoming. Details to follow. Prayers are much appreciated as our family and friends get through this difficult time. "Be still and know..." God Bless!

I met Franny at Panther Valley High School. We were on the swimming and diving team together. She was always the brightest light in the room. Her positive and energetic personality is what drew me to know her and from then on we were friends who with many other friends shared loads of laughs and adventures creating a lifetime of memories. Franny was beautiful inside and out, a loyal friend, and a trusted confidant. RIP beautiful lady! You have touched so many lives and your light will continue to shine on all of us who had the privilege to call you Friend.

We all gathered at a sports bar three or four years ago. We had a great time and went to a little bar with a live band afterward. What a friendly and outgoing person! We hold her in our hearts and send our deepest sympathy to the family.

Sorry so to hear about Francine. I went to high school with her and we were great friends and hung out together. The last time I saw her was at a Zumba class at the Y on Tamaqua. She always had a smile on her face. Her laugh was something special. May she rest in peace.

Fran was such a beautiful woman, inside and out. Never without a smile on her face. You three were so lucky to call her yours. Dynamic! That´s a word that comes to mind when we think about Fran. We were saddened to learn of her passing. We spent time with Fran at a few family functions, and although we didn´t know her very well, we will fondly remember her as she is lovingly described in her obituary. What a wonderful tribute to her life! Wishing all of her family and friends, especially Rob and the boys, peace in their hearts.

With deepest sympathy,
