Francis Correiro

Francis Sonny Correiro, 75, of Taunton passed away on Saturday April 21. 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA. He was born in Taunton, MA son of the late Francis and Mary (Frates) Correiro. Sonny was also the husband of 22 years to Autumn L. (Sumner) Correiro. A lifelong resident of Taunton, Sonny also owned and operated Silver City Landscaping until he retired, after which he worked for a local courier service for a few years. He loved to go to the casino, especially to play cards, even going when it was not good for his health to do so. He was a big fan of all sports, and coached when his children, and nephews were playing on local teams. Sonny will be remembered for his sense of humor, laid back attitude, and his wit. He loved everyone. He was an awesome dad and a wonderful grandfather. In addition to his wife Autmn, Francis is survived by, his four children, Debra Meack and her husband Donald, Christine Silveira and her husband Orlando, Francis R. Correiro and Gary S. Correiro, all of Taunton; nine grandsons; seven great grandchildren; his step children, Arthur H. Knight III, Timothy M. Knight and Renee Sidlevicz; twelve step grandchildren; two sisters Patricia Olivencia and her husband Diego of Taunton, and Judith Shapiro and her husband Mark of Stoneham, MA; and the mother of his children, Shirley Correiro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday April 27, 2018 in the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Avenue, Taunton followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
