Francis DiMento Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2019.
With the deepest sorrow, we announce that Francis "Frank" "Frankie" "Butch" "CheeChie Bean" "Bubba" "Daddy" Joseph DiMento, age 35, started his new adventure on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Frank was born on March 8, 1984 in Drexel Hill, PA to Teresa Corrado DiMento and Domenic DiMento. On May 30, 2015, he married the love of his life Caleen Owens DiMento, and became the father of his daughter, Aurora Gale Owens DiMento on January 12, 2017.

We are grateful for Frank's natural ability to be the perfect son to his parents and loving big brother to Maria Dimento. He will be missed everyday by them and his in-laws, Connie and Matt Owens, Matt and Ashley Owens, & Shawna and Patrick Krupper. He is Godfather and Beloved Uncle to Matthew Owens, Jackson Owens and Lucia Rose Morella Ferrara. So many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends and Family will forever miss the Love and Fun Frank brought to life and gatherings.

He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Drexel University in 2007. Frank started his first position as an engineer on the island of St. Croix. Before moving back to PA he took time to travel throughout Europe for several months. He bought a home in West Conshohocken and worked for Peco Energy. He later became a Project Manager for Infrasource, who treated him with tremendous love and respect throughout his entire journey. He lived in West Conshohocken where he started his greatest adventure of his life, starting his family. His wife and daughter will cherish all of the memories of their adventures together. We promise to continue kitchen dance parties, playing music too loud, laughing until we cry, and especially keeping everyday special.

We are grateful for his friendship. Frankie brightened the lives of all who were lucky to call him a friend. We are eternally grateful for all the memories he has given us. He was known for his quick wit and goofy disposition that allowed us to be our true selves when he was present. Frank always put others before himself, and because of that changed the lives of so many.

Frank was a lover of all things involving mechanics, especially his 18 cars he had throughout his life, one of them a 1979 Camaro him and his father built together. He later sold his Camaro to buy Caleen's engagement ring, and surprise her with a very special engagement. He enjoyed 2 boats, one of them a 1968 Hatteras that he fixed up himself. He spent many summers at the beach working on his boat, blaring music, and enjoying life with his family. He loved movies, two of his favorites were Back to the Future and It's a Wonderful Life. We are grateful.

Celebration of Life will be held at Valley Forge Casino Resort, Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, Independence Ballroom on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, tune-up your car, take chances, and go on adventures- he would have wanted that.

We love and miss you so much. You are forever in our hearts. The sea is open, Frank. Venture on until we meet again.

Frank was a great friend during our years at Drexel. We first met in Kelly Hall freshman year, spending time playing goofy games and he attempting to help me study. He will be remembered as the kindhearted and fun person that would do anything to light up your day. I'm sorry that we lost touch and went in different directions, but he will always hold a place in my heart. My deepest condolences to his family.

Frankie was a good soul through and through. He proved what it meant to be a wonderful person, a warrior, and a hero. My heart goes out to all of his family.
