Francis GEIGER Obituary
"Frank" 84, of St. Petersburg, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, Sept. 23, 1931, to the late Francis Xavier and Mary Barbara (Stoeckert) Geiger. Frank has been a Florida resident since 1985, after relocating from West Islip, NY. He retired from the New York Telephone Company/AT&T where he worked as a telephone technician. Frank is a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan Geiger; daughters, JoAnn (Dennis) Vaillancourt, Christine (Douglas) Fasseel, and Cynthia (James) Bingham; sons, Gary (Julie) Geiger and David (Sheila) Geiger; grandchildren, Jessica and Michael, Jillian (Dave), Benjamin (Julie), Brian (Kayce), Christopher, and Kevin, Lindsay, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Neveah, Lailah, Anna Bella, Ezra, Vera, Scott, Easton, and Kayte. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Amber Lynn Geiger; and siblings, Maryann, Edward, and DeAnna. A Mass will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 9, 11 am, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 78th Ave. N.E., St. Petersburg. Frank will be laid to rest with military honors in Bay Pines National Cemetery at a later date. Visit his online guestbook at:
