AGE: 78 • Manahawkin
Francis S. Kowalczyk, 78, of Manahawkin died Monday, October 9, 2017. Having served as a Captain in the US Army, he formerly resided in Clifton, NJ for many years. After retiring to Manahawkin, NJ he became a member of the Unitarian Universalist Ocean County Congregation. Francis also served as a Historical Researcher for the Stafford Twsp. Historical Society, and was a member of the Stafford Twsp. Historical Preservation Commission and the Ocean County Historical Society.
Predeceased by his brother, Leonard Kowalczyk, he is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary Anne Kowalczyk; four loving children and their spouses, Kathleen Covich, Mary Frances and Gary Wiesner, Paul Kowalczyk and Carol Sisson, Elizabeth and Eugene Crescibene; three cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Abigail Kowalczyk, Michelle Fortier; his devoted sister, Maryann Csencsits.
Viewing Friday, Oct. 13th from 3 to 7 PM with Funeral Services to be offered at 6:30 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter's University, Jersey City, NJ appreciated. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
