Born on Feb. 10, 1920, in Analomink, he was the son of the late George and Grace (Brown) Lesh Sr.
Francis worked as a tree trimmer in Asplundh in Willow Grove for 40 years. He retired in 1985. He then moved to East Stroudsburg where he was employed at Mountain Manor Inn in Marshalls Creek as a handyman for many years.
He was a Lutheran by faith, and a member of the Monroe County community his entire life. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his wife Eleanor, who resides at home, he is survived by one son, Ronald G. Lesh and his wife Margaret of East Stroudsburg; one daughter, Jill F. Brink and her husband David of East Stroudsburg; two granddaughters, Jayne Lesh and Nicole Brink, both of East Stroudsburg; two grandsons, Jason Lesh and his wife Stephanie of Stroudsburg and Matthew Brink of East Stroudsburg; one great-granddaughter, Emily Lesh from Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. The Rev. Kathleen Ash-Flashner from Grace Lutheran Church in East Stroudsburg will officiate. Burial will be follow in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
Visitation for family and friends will take place from 12:30 p.m. until time of the services on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate if memorial donations were made to Grace Lutheran Church, 25 Lackawanna St., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301; and/or the Salvation Army, 226 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
