Francis J. Lopatofsky, Waymart, Pa. died Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2009 at Forest City Nursing Home after an illness. His late wife was the former Mary Lou Cobb who passed away on July 11th.
Born in Waymart, son of the late Frank and Helen Olsewski Lopatofsky, he was a graduate of Waymart High School and a member of St. Mary's Church, Waymart. Prior to retirement he was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Wayco.
Surviving are sons Frank and his wife Louise, Waymart, Corey and his wife Cherlyann, Delmar, DE, and Thomas, Olyphant; a brother Albert, Waymart; sisters Dorothy Johannes, Cherry Ridge, Regina Hook, Honesdale, and Sarah Rodenburg, Waymart; grandchildren Kristen, Kevin, and Sarah; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Paul.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home Rt. 296 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Cremation will follow the viewing in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
Interment will private in the S. Clinton Baptist Cemetery.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Francis. I really liked him a lot. He always had a smile on his face. He was a gentle and caring man. I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Lopatofsky family.
