Frank Joseph Basista, a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather died peacefully on December 3, 2012. He was born August 18, 1929, in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Cugeber Basista.

Frank is survived by daughters, Donna (Martin) M. Brenner, Barbara (Stanley) A. Nash and Connie (Daniel) D. Essary; grandchildren, Anna Nash, Emily (Michael) Wood, Natalie Essary and Vanesa Brenner; and his great grandson, Evan Wood.

Frank grew up in Duquesne, PA, and at the age of 21 joined the U.S. Air Force where he met Mildred, and they were married on November 7, 1953. He was a resident of Titusville, Florida, since 1966, a devoted Catholic and a member of Saint Teresa Catholic Church.

Frank was a very giving man who devoted his life to his wife and children and will be missed by so many.

You may not be on this earth anymore, but you will always be in our hearts. Please give Millie a great big hug from all of us. We know you are now at peace and your broken heart is fixed because you are together again with Mom. We love you, Dad, and we will miss you and Mom terribly!

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

In celebration of our Father's life, please join us at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Valicenti Pavilion at Sand Point Park, Titusville, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

We hope knowing your mom and dad are together again offers you some peace in trying to sort out your feelings in what must be the most difficult days and months in your lives. God is there for you and if you open yourself up, both your angels will let you know they are okay and watching over you all. Sending all our love, prayers and hugs, Jackie and Mark
