BURATTI FRANK A.
Age 91, of Sheraden, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Adeline A. (Cue) Buratti; loving son of the late Pacifico and Elizabeth (Trepassi) Buratti; brother of Yolanda Smola, the late Nicholas, Joseph, Eck, Rose Conti, Caroline McIntyre, and Josephine Grosso; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Frank attended Langley High School in Sheraden. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Fourth Protective Guard for 3 years in the Pacific during WWII. Upon discharge, Frank was a tile apprentice before starting the Frank A. Buratti Tile & Flooring Company in 1951, which he owned for over 60 years. Frank was also an active member in various organizations throughout his life. He was a member and past president and treasurer of the Italian Sons & Daughters of America, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and past president of the McKees Rocks Lion's Club. Through the years, Frank enjoyed hunting, gardening, and was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan. Frank took great pride in his yard and flowers. Family and friends received Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 a.m. in Holy Innocents Church, 3011 Landis St. (Sheraden), Pittsburgh, PA 15204. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Holy Innocents Church.
