KINGSLEY, Dorothy Dorothy Freitas Kingsley, died March 31, 2008, Atlanta, GA. Born December 17, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, youngest daughter of Nicolas Freitas and Christina Aguiar of Madeira Island, Portugal. She was preceded in death by Donald F. Kingsley, Jr., (CDR, CHC, USN, Ret.) of New Bloomfield, PA who she married on September 3, 1944, when he was a Midshipman at the US Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY. Dorothy was an open, generous soul who made lasting friendships wherever she lived, and will be missed by the people she touched all over the globe. Surviving are her children: Marjorie Kingsley Holler and her husband James of Atlanta; John Cameron Kingsley and wife Ann of Mesa, AZ; Theodore Reynolds Kingsley and wife Mary of Washington, DC; Christine Agnes Kravette and husband Sanford of Bethlehem, PA; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm on April 21, 2008 at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 13560 Cogburn Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004. Interment of ashes to follow at a later date, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Pt. Loma, San Diego, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to your local Humane Society or to St. Aidan's in Alpharetta.
