I was 18 when I met Frank. He welcomed me into his home and treated me just like a member of the family. I went with him on a few carpet laying jobs and was impressed with the pride he put into his work. He never ever said a cross word to me and supported me in everything I did. I hold him in the highest regard as a man of respect and character. I used to have an old 1957 Lincoln and I tore it apart in the driveway. I was only 20 at that time and Frank was sure I would never get it back together but he never told me so til many years later. He would always laugh when he told that story. I don't know how the years have gone by so fast and I'm now 66. I've known some good men in my life, but when it comes to honesty, integrity and character Frank was right at the top. Thank you for all the good times Frank! I love you and I'll miss you.

I wish you all the best to come on your new journey Grandpa D! I will always cherish the time we were blessed to have spent together. You were the only grandfather I ever knew. I will hold on to your big hugs and your face lighting up when you would say hey dawner and pick me up by my ears. And the love you put into all that you made me. My bear, my love box, my clock, my rolling pin (it has some miles on her :)), nicks rocking horse and my cradle when I was born. Going to the clock shop when you would come to visit was always a favorite outing. And the ice cream oh how I will miss. The last time I seen your face you were watching Patrick sleeping as you shed a tear as we had to say goodbye. I will always hold you in my heart and will always be so very very proud to have had you for My Grandpa!

When I think of you, I think of a man that had honor, respect, love & dedication to family. It seems that the 46 years since we first met have passed much too quickly. I have always wanted to express my thanks for knowing you in a more meaninful way. Decades ago you gave me your personal Navajo turquoise ring with a bear claw & matching silver money clip that I still cherish today. Although I am not sure we will ever meet again, I promise you now that if we do, that ring will be on my finger & that money clip will be in my pocket.

I often think of Frank when I look at my treasured, handmade rolling pin that he made and gave to me. It sits on top of my oven. What a talented man! And what a fun, kind, welcoming personality he had. He will be missed!!!
Take good care of yourself, Eurilda. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. You are very precious, too.
Love, Sharon & Howard Hyde

I am honored to have one of Uncle Frank's beautiful masterpieces - a hope chest sitting bench you made for me when I was a freshman in college. I am now 53 years old and still treasure it like the day I returned home from Christmas Break and it was sitting in my bedroom - quite a surprise. Uncle Frank, you were a true craftsman. I love you because my father loves you so dearly. That is enough for me. Best Regards, Sara Paulene Duncan Owen.
