Frank Garofalo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 21, 2018.
Frank Thomas "Garf" Garofalo, age 82, of Jacksonville, Florida (formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) was called home by our Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was reunited with his beloved wife of 54 years, Carol A. Garofalo. He is survived by many loved ones, including his children, Thomas (Margie) Philip, Kevin (Jeannie) and his loving daughter, Gina Marie; his loving grandchildren, Andrea and Tommy Garofalo, Nicole and Selena Walters, Kassidy and Rory Garofalo; and his soon to be great-grandson, Thomas Andrew.

Garf was a loving compassionate man who made it known family was the most important thing to have and to hold on to. He was a man from a generation whose number one priority was to provide for your family and to always be there for one another; which he showed to everyone his whole life.

He was a true Italian man as he sure did love his pasta and spaghetti sauces. He even guided his family on how to prepare his special sauce.

He never knew a stranger. Anyone that has met or known this man would tell you he was wonderful.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the BEACHES CHAPEL BY HARDAGE-GIDDENS, 1701 Beaches Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A committal service with military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, Florida.
